Bringing Design Thinking to Agile Project Management
On the surface, the rigid structure of Agile/SCRUM project management, and the creative forces that enable Design Thinking don’t seem like they would mesh. However at their core, they are fundamentally similar processes driven by a desire to create positive user experiences through iterative design and testing.
When I was at ANN Inc I had the opportunity lead a half day Design Thinking workshop for the Product Management team and anyone else who wanted to join. The presentation lasted for the entire morning and consisted of a presentation (below) followed by Q&A as well as activities meant to help encourage the development of a design first mindset.
